Returns

New Items, with or without receipt

You will receive a full refund, if the item is returned within a year of the purchase date, when:

  • Merchandise is in resalable condition with original packaging/sales tag.
  • Original sales/gift receipt is presented.

If after 30 days, the item has since gone on sale, the credit will be for the sale price.

With receipt or assigned to an Outfitter Account - We will gladly exchange sizes or issue a refund via your original method of payment or issue a store credit.  Please note, if originally paid with a credit or debit card it can take several days for the credit to post to your credit card account.

Without receipt – and not assigned to an Outfitter Account?  We can exchange sizes or issue store credit for the current price.

In the case of a gift purchased for a child, the parent must bring in the item and request the refund.  Swimwear, underwear, Vibram 5 fingers and Topo shoes cannot be returned because of health concerns.

Worn Items   need to be cleaned prior to returning them

Normal wear and tear and accidents are not covered by warranty, however some manufacturers do offer repair services for a fee.

Manufacturers vary in how they cover defects in their merchandise, and as we carry well over 100 different manufacturers, it is beyond the scope of this piece of writing to cover how each handles defective items.  If you have a question regarding a specific item you can either contact us or bring it into the store and we can look it up.  Differences of opinion as to what is a defect and what is not will occur and that is normal.  Often the item will need to be returned to the manufacturer for a determination.  For instance, Marmot repairs everything they can to keep things out of the landfill, but the downside is you will have to wait several weeks for the item to be returned.  Fortunately they make great stuff and it doesn’t happen often.  In the event the item being returned is no longer being produced, the manufacturer may choose to replace your item with one of comparable value and function, or issue a credit.

“Lifetime warranty” refers to the life of the garment and is often determined by the amount of wear and tear apparent, amount of tread left on the sole, etc.

  Sale Items

Due to the time sensitive nature of sale items (typically the season is ending) the trade off in getting a sale price is that they must be returned within 30 days.  And the credit will reflect the current sale price.

Any items purchased from the “Managers Special” display, are not returnable.
